Gamesa has secured a new order in India from ReNew Power for the EPC construction of a 40MW wind farm located in Ron, in the state of Karnataka.
The agreement encompasses the installation of 20 G97-2.0MW class S turbines. With a tower height of 104 metres, this new turbine variant is custom-designed for the low wind speed sites typical of India. Gamesa will also provide the infrastructure needed to install and operate the facility and will service the wind farm on a long-term basis. The wind farm's commissioning is scheduled for September 2016.
