GE Renewable Energy has signed a framework agreement with UKA Group to install approximately 250MW of wind energy across 12 future project sites throughout Germany. In addition, the company received a firm order for 30MW of new wind capacity at UKA Group’s Duben Süd wind farm in Brandenburg.
The Duben Süd order consists of 11 of GE’s 2.75-120 machines and represents the second phase of a 2015 installation of nine similar machines in a nearby location, bringing the total combined capacity to approximately 55MW of wind energy. The order also includes a 15-year full services agreement. The larger UKA Group framework agreement calls for 12 proposed sites to receive approximately 73 units of what will likely be GE’s 3.4-137 machine. The Duben Süd project is expected to be operational later this year, and the larger framework agreement calls for installations beginning in 2018.
