Glamox has secured a contract to supply marine lighting for the first of two subsea rock installation vessels being built for Van Oord. The vessel will support seabed preparation for offshore pipelines, wind turbine foundations, platforms and other subsea installations.
Glamox will deliver 2,930 marine lights for the vessel. The scope includes exterior deck lighting and floodlights, along with safety-critical systems such as navigation lights and high-performance searchlights. The lighting package also covers interior areas including the engine room, stairwells, corridors, galley and crew quarters. Delivery of the lighting is scheduled for winter 2026, while delivery of the vessel is expected before the end of 2027.
