NOV has been awarded contracts by Hanwha Ocean for the design and supply of equipment for a next-generation wind turbine installation jack-up vessel based on the GustoMSC NG-16000X design. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
The jack-up vessel will feature the proprietary GustoMSC rack and pinion jacking system with a variable speed drive. A regenerative power function will enable energy generated during operations to be fed back into the vessel’s electrical system. The vessel will also be equipped with a 2,600-ton leg-encircling crane.
