Next Geosolutions has been awarded a contract by TenneT to carry out marine survey activities in the Voordelta – Nederwiek 3 offshore wind area in the Dutch part of the North Sea. The operational scope includes geophysical and geotechnical marine surveys along the cable route.
Work will involve the acquisition and processing of geophysical data for seabed mapping, supported by deep geotechnical sampling and analysis down to 40 metres to characterise the subsoil. The project will also include the identification of unexploded ordnance and other obstacles along the route.
Operations will take place in nearshore and tidal areas within the Voordelta – Nederwiek 3 offshore wind zone, with completion expected by the third quarter of 2026.
The project forms part of TenneT’s Roadmap 2030 programme, which is intended to assess the technical feasibility of the cable corridor, identify seabed obstacles and support the design and engineering phases of the infrastructure.
