Nordex AG has been awarded a contract by independent power producer Renewable Energy Systems (RES) for two 25MW wind farms in Northern Ireland.
The contract provides for a total of 20 N80/2500 kW turbines for delivery at the end of 2008. The order is split equally, one project north of Belfast, the other near Omagh, with a total electricity supply sufficient for 34,000 households annually and preventing CO2 emissions of around 110,000 tons per year.
