Offshore Marine Management (OMM) has successfully cleared 5,000+ boulders from 30 kilometres of the Baltic seabed ahead of schedule during the winter months in the German Baltic Sea.
Utilising three specialist vessels to clear the pathway of boulders ranging in sizes up to 2M, the offshore marine project team successfully created a suitable pathway for an export cable for an offshore wind farm connection to the shore landing site. This was going from deep water to working within 5 metres of water and less and a clearance rate in excess of 100 boulders per day was achieved.
