The Bałtyk 1 offshore wind farm, a joint venture between Polenergia and Equinor, has secured a contract for difference in Poland’s first offshore wind auction. The project, with a planned capacity of up to 1,560 MW, is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2032 and will receive a guaranteed price of PLN 492.32 per MWh for 25 years, indexed annually to inflation and capped at the NBP’s target rate.
Bałtyk 1 will become Poland’s largest offshore wind farm, located on the Central Shoal approximately 80 kilometres offshore. The project plans include up to 104 wind turbines. A building permit and final investment decision are expected by 2027.
