Port of Raahe and Buss Ports assess port development for offshore wind in the Gulf of BothniaThe Port of Raahe and Buss Ports have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities to support offshore wind development in the Gulf of Bothnia. The parties will assess the potential to develop the Port of Raahe as a logistics and installation port for future offshore wind projects.

The cooperation will include an assessment of infrastructure requirements, engagement with industry stakeholders and an evaluation of how the port could support future offshore wind developments. Located in northern Finland on the Gulf of Bothnia, the Port of Raahe handles approximately 600 vessel calls annually. An important step in its offshore wind strategy was the official opening of Deep Quay 3 in September 2026.
