REpower North (China) Co., Ltd., REpower Systems AG's joint venture in China, has been awarded with a wind farm project of 150MW in a bidding procedure.
The project will be realised at the coastline of China's Shandong province, 500 kilometres southeast of Beijing. The project is the first commercial project of REpower North and at the same time one of the largest projects ever in the history of REpower Systems Group. The delivery of the first 75 turbines is scheduled from June 2008 to April 2009, absorbing the full production capacity of REpower North in this period. The customer has an option for the delivery of another 75 turbines in 2009/10.
