RES has been awarded the Safety from the System and Operational Control contract for ScottishPower Renewables’ East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm. The contract covers the formal framework for safely isolating and controlling high-voltage assets, managing associated risks and enabling work to be carried out safely throughout the project.
East Anglia TWO is located around 33 km off the coast of Suffolk, England, and will have a capacity of 960 MW. The project will use 64 Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy 15 MW turbines, with high-voltage infrastructure operating at up to 400 kV. The contract is scheduled to commence in 2027.
