Revolution Wind has completed installation of all 65 turbines at its 704 MW offshore wind farm approximately 15 nautical miles south-east of Point Judith, Rhode Island. The project began construction in 2023 and started delivering electricity to the New England grid in March 2026. Commissioning activities are continuing, with full commercial operation expected later this year.
Once fully operational, Revolution Wind is expected to supply enough electricity to power around 350,000 homes. Connecticut will receive 304 MW of the project’s output, while the remaining 400 MW will be delivered to Rhode Island. The project is being developed by Ørsted and Skyborn Renewables. Electricity from Revolution Wind is supplied under fixed-price, 20-year agreements with utilities in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
