The Revolution Wind project, developed by Ørsted and Eversource, has successfully installed its first offshore wind turbine, marking a key milestone for Rhode Island and Connecticut’s first large-scale offshore wind farm.The project will use a total of 65 Siemens Gamesa 11MW turbines to generate 400MW for Rhode Island and 304MW for Connecticut, powering over 350,000 homes. It is expected to create about 1,200 jobs and involves significant investments in workforce development and infrastructure.
