Siemens Energy has received two orders for a total of 90 wind turbines for two wind power plants in the Nakornrachasrima province in Northeastern Thailand.
Purchaser for the KR2 project is K.R.Two Company Ltd.. For the FKW project, the customer is First Korat Wind Co. Ltd. Both project companies are subsidiaries of Thailand’s Wind Energy Holding Co. Ltd. The projects combined capacity of 207MW, the Siemens scope of supply encompasses the delivery, installation and commissioning of 90 wind turbines of type SWT-2.3-101. Installation of the FKW project will begin in spring 2012, while commissioning of the wind power plant is scheduled for the end of 2012. The KR2 project will be installed concurrently with the FKW project.
