Nordex AG has successfully returned to the world's largest growth market for wind energy, having signed a major contract in the United States with BP Alternative Energy North America Inc. for the delivery of 60 N90/2500 kW turbines.
The contract for the delivery and installation of the systems includes five years of service. Nordex will deliver the first turbines in the second quarter of 2009. At the moment, Nordex is making preparations to build up its own production facilities in the USA during the next two years in order to be ready for further supplies to the U.S. and Canada.
