Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation has signed with Edison Mission Group (EMG) for an additional 105MW of capacity, which includes 50 units of Suzlon's S88 - 2.1 MW wind turbine.
Delivery of the wind turbines is expected to begin in mid-2007, and upon completion of the projects, EMG will hold more than 300MW of Suzlon wind turbine capacity in the US. This new order from EMG - an Irvine, California based company - adds to the 75 Suzlon turbines being installed across the USA, as well as 2005 agreements between EMG and Suzlon for machines already installed. Recently, Suzlon commissioned 25MW of its S64 - 1.25MW wind turbine for EMG's portfolio of community-owned wind power projects in Southwest Minnesota.
