TEPCO Renewable Power and Marine Power Systems have signed contracts to use ForeCoast Marine software, which Kinewell acquired earlier this year as part of an expansion of its software portfolio. The ForeCoast Marine platform simulates marine operations and offshore installation campaigns using historical metocean data and operational constraints.
The software enables project teams to assess how offshore wind developments could have performed during previous weather seasons.
TEPCO Holdings aims to generate more than 60% of its electricity from carbon-free power sources over the next decade. As part of this strategy, TEPCO Renewable Power took over TEPCO’s renewable energy business in April 2020 and became a standalone renewable power company.
Marine Power Systems develops deepwater offshore wind platform systems, including technologies for offshore platform installation and wind turbine integration.
