The Danish Energy Agency and Frederikshavn Municipality are initiating a public consultation on the environmental impact report for Frederikshavn Offshore Wind Farm in the period 25 May 2022 - 5 August 2022.

Citizens, organizations, authorities, and others who may be affected by the project now have the opportunity to comment on the establishment permit. European Energy wants to set up five offshore wind turbines up to a height of 256 meters, with a total installed capacity of up to 72MW, in an area on the sea outside Frederikshavn, south of Hirsholmene. The wind farm area is located four kilometres off the coast of Frederikshavn and 1.8 km from the coast at Hirsholmene. The offshore wind farm is expected to be connected to the electricity grid at the existing 60 kV station at Starbakke.
