TÜV SÜD will support the realisation of the new offshore wind farms, Danish Kriegers Flak in the Baltic Sea off Denmark and Vesterhav Nord and Vesterhav Syd in the North Sea. The contract, placed by Vattenfall, covers certification of the design and manufacturing phases as well as of transport, installation and commissioning.
Vattenfall has merged several certification modules for all three projects into one process, from foundation design to wind turbines during manufacturing, installation and commissioning. The relevant project certificates will be issued after successful completion of the respective phases of certification. Within the scope of certification, the wind-energy experts will monitor the construction of the offshore wind farm foundations, towers and wind-energy generators. Design review of the foundations will start as early as summer 2018.
