UAE and Egypt sign 10GW wind energy deal

The United Arab Emirates and Egypt have agreed to develop a 10 GW onshore wind project in Egypt. The wind farm will produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy annually once it is completed.

 

For the development of the wind farm an agreement has been signed between Masdar (UAE), Infinity Power (Egypt )and Hassan Allam Utilities (Egypt). The announcement was made by UAE's state news agency WAM and did not specify an exact timeframe.
