Vestas has secured a 50 MW order from Passat Energy, a special purpose vehicle wholly owned by Iberdrola Renovables Internacional, for the Korytnica II project in central Poland. Korytnica II is an extension of the 83 MW Korytnica I project.

At Korytnica II, Vestas will supply and install 14 of its V126-3.45 MW turbines in 3.6 MW operating mode at a hub height of 132 metres. The Korytnica II project will be serviced by Vestas under a long-term service agreement. Deliveries at Korytnica II are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2022, while full commissioning is planned for beginning of 2023. The project, which is located northeast of Warsaw, has been developed with support from Poland’s fourth Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction.

Vestas has also received a 257 MW order from Windkoepel Groen for a total of seven projects in the Netherlands. The order includes supply and installation of 37 V162-6.2 MW EnVentus wind turbines, with some delivered in 6.0 MW operating mode, and eight V126-3.45 MW wind turbines delivered in 3.8 MW operating mode. The seven projects are part of Windplan Groen, a collective initiative to repower existing windfarms in the Eastern part of the Province of Flevoland. The individual owners are joined in Windkoepel Groen. Vestas will provide service for the project through long-term service agreements. Vestas is planning to deliver the first wind turbines in the third quarter of 2022. The final wind turbines will be commissioned in late 2023.

Further Vestas has signed an agreement with 2W Energia for the 113 MW Kairos project, located in the municipality of Icapuí in the state of Ceará, Brazil. The order includes 25 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines as well as a 15-year service contract. The delivery of wind turbines is planned for the second quarter of 2023, with commissioning scheduled for the last quarter of the same year. The wind turbines are locally produced under the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) FINAME rules.

Also in Brazil, Vestas has secured the order from Elera Renováveis for the 248 MW Seridó Oeste project, located in Parelhas, Rio Grande do Norte. The project will feature 55 V150-4.5 MW turbines which Vestas will supply and install. Upon completion, Vestas will also deliver a 20-year service agreement. The delivery of wind turbines is planned for the second quarter of 2023, with commissioning scheduled for the second quarter of 2024. Also these wind turbines are locally produced under the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) FINAME rules.
