Vestas has received a 43MW order for the Yokohama-machi Wind Power Plant in Aomori prefecture, Japan. Owned by Japan Wind Development, the project will feature nine Vestas V117-3.45 MW and three Vestas V105-3.45 MW turbines with 94-meter towers.
All turbines are delivered in 3.6 MW operating mode. The order includes a multi-year service agreement. Delivery of Vestas’ turbines will begin in the first quarter of 2022, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022.
Vestas has also secured a 30 MW order on the Lenalea Wind Farm in Ireland being developed by SSE Renewables and Coillte Renewable Energy. Vestas will supply and install seven V117-4.2 MW turbines in 4.3 MW operating mode at the project, which is located in County Donegal. The turbines will be serviced through a multi-year service agreement. The V117-4.3 MW turbines will rise to a hub height of 76.5m and will be first delivered from the second quarter of 2023. Full park commissioning is expected in late 2023. SSE Renewables is leading on construction of the project and will operate Lenalea Wind Farm throughout its lifetime.
Further Vestas has received a 50 MW order of V150-4.2 MW turbines for a wind park in Spain. The contract includes the supply and installation of twelve V150-4.2 MW wind turbines, two of which will be delivered in 4.0 MW power mode, as well as a 20-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is expected by the third quarter of 2021 whilst commissioning is planned by the fourth quarter of 2021. The project and customer are undisclosed.
