Vestas has secured the first order for the V155-3.3MW turbine variant for two projects in China that totals 201MW. The order includes the supply of 61 turbines and towers as well as a 5-year service contract. Both projects are derived from the ongoing Chinese auction scheme.
The 76 metre blade is co-developed with a local partner. Project delivery is expected to be in the third quarter of 2020, with commissioning in the same quarter. Customer and project’s names are undisclosed at the customer’s request.
