Vestas has won a 40MW order that was awarded as part of Argentina's RenovAr 1.5 auction. Parques Eólicos Vientos del Sur, a subsidiary of Grupo Frali, has placed an order to Vestas for the supply and installation of 11 V136-3.6MW wind turbines for La Banderita wind park in the City of General Acha, Province of La Pampa, Argentina. Turbine delivery is planned for the third quarter of 2018 whilst commissioning is expected during the first quarter of 2019.

Vestas has also received an order for the supply and installation of 27 V136-3.45MW wind turbines for a 93MW wind park in the Northeastern state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. The contract, derived from the second Mexican auction held last year, includes the supply and installation of the wind turbines as well as a short-term Active Output Management (AOM5000) service contract. Delivery of the wind turbines is expected for the third quarter of 2018, whilst commissioning is planned for 2019.

Further Vestas has signed a new contract in Italy for the Monteverde wind park to be installed in Avellino province in the south of Italy. The 38MW order was placed by Tozzi Sud for the supply and installation of eight V117-3.45MW turbines and three V112-3.45MW turbines. The project was awarded at Italy's last energy auction. The order comprises the supply and installation of the eleven wind turbines as well as a 10 year service contract. Turbine delivery is expected for the first quarter of 2018, whilst commissioning is planned for the second quarter of 2018.

Another Italian order is for the Lavello wind park and is placed by Bel Lavello Vigi, a joint venture between Belenergia and Langa/Rgreen Invest. The contract for the 40MW Lavello wind park includes the supply and installation of 12 V126-3.3MW wind turbines. The wind park will be located in the Basilicata region in Southern Italy. Turbine delivery as well as the commissioning is expected during the second quarter of 2018. The contract also includes a 15-year Active Output Management (AOM 5000) service contract.
