With the signing of a PPA contract at the end of April, wpd was able to place the last piece of the puzzle for the Swedish project Aldermyrberget. Aldermyrberget is being built in northern Sweden, about 60 kilometers from the town of Skellefteå.
17 Vestas V150 wind turbines (WTG) with an output of 4.2MW each and a hub height of 155 meters have been ordered by wpd. wpd has signed a long-term supply contract for CO2-free electricity with a big Swedish industrial group. At the end of April, both companies ratified a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The installation of the WTGs is planned for summer 2020 and commissioning for the end of 2020.
