Family-owned engineering firm BGB has welcomed Alex Holt, son of CEO David Holt, to the team, marking the third generation of the Holt family to join the business. Founded in 1976 by David’s father, David Holt Snr., and his two partners, BGB specialises in power and data transfer solutions for rotary applications.
The Grantham-based company has expanded globally, including operations in the United States, supporting industries such as wind energy, utilities, and renewables. Alex, a business and finance graduate from De Montfort University in Leicester, has joined as a management trainee. Over the next 18 to 24 months, he will rotate through key areas of the business to gain hands-on experience.
