Buss Terminal Eemshaven in the Netherands has expanded its terminal capacity with an additional 15 hectares of heavy-duty storage area and 200 metres of quay-side access at Beatrixhaven. The new heavy-duty area, capable of handling loads up to 30 tons/m², enhances the terminal’s ability to support the offshore wind sector and other industries.
The expansion includes shared priority access to the Beatrixhaven heavy-duty quay, which can also handle 30 tons/m². This area is directly connected to the terminal’s existing facilities and quay at Julianahaven. The terminal is equipped with specialised machinery, including reach stackers, heavy-duty cranes, and self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs), ensuring efficient handling of heavy cargo.
