M V Gripper completes two years of service in the USA offshore wind sectorAmerican Offshore Services has reported that the crew transfer vessel M/V Gripper completed two years of continuous service in the USA offshore wind sector on 1 March 2026. Since entering service, the vessel has supported crew and equipment transfers along the USA East Coast.

M/V Gripper is a 30-metre aluminium catamaran and forms part of the company’s USA-built, USA-flagged and USA-operated fleet of Jones Act-compliant crew transfer vessels. The vessel was designed for year-round offshore wind operations.

Over the past two years, American Offshore Services has expanded its activities in the USA offshore wind market. The company reports an on-hire rate of more than 99 per cent for its fleet and has extended operations along the full length of the USA East Coast. Fleet capacity and staff numbers have also increased during this period.
