The BNK (Bedarfgesteuerte Nachtkennzeichnung) provider Dark Sky and Wobben Properties GmbH have settled their patent dispute and concluded a license agreement.

This agreement covers all transponder systems already installed and to be installed by Dark Sky. Systems for demand-controlled night-time identification of wind turbines (BNK) are increasingly being implemented in Germany with solutions based on transponder technology. Wobben Properties GmbH holds various patents in this area. Dark Sky had not previously acquired a license for the property rights, but has now agreed on a contract with Wobben Properties. In addition to new installations, the agreement also includes all of Dark Sky's installations systems already installed. The agreement, which was reached in April 2022, ended all legal disputes.
