EDF Renewables Ireland, part of one of the world’s largest electricity companies, has appointed James McDermott to the role of Planning Project Manager.
In his new role, James will focus on the planning and delivery of renewable energy projects across Ireland. As part of this role, James will work across all stages of development, including preliminary design and statutory consent projects. Originally from Banbridge, County Down, James recently returned to Ireland from London, where he worked for over eight years with a number of local planning authorities. James holds a BSc in Environmental Planning from Queen’s University Belfast, and is a recognised chartered planner with the Royal Town Planning Institute.
