Enefit Green has evaluated its core markets, development portfolio, and financing options, leading to a decision to seek an exit from the Finnish market and divest some non-strategic projects.
The company aims to support the region’s renewable energy goals and position itself as a leader in the green transition by concentrating on strategically important and higher-yielding wind and hybrid park projects. To advance these plans, Enefit Green has engaged Norwegian investment bank Arctic Securities to find buyers for the 72 MW Tolpanvaara wind farm in Finland and partners for constructing the 150 MW Kelmė III wind farm in Lithuania.
Over the past three years, Enefit Green has expanded its wind and solar portfolio, increasing its total production capacity by 2.4 times to over 1,100 MW from 457 MW in 2021.
Key developments include nearing completion of the Sopi-Tootsi wind farm (255 MW) and the Sopi solar power plant (74 MW) in Estonia, both of which are already operating at full capacity. In Lithuania, construction continues on the Kelmė I (80 MW) and Kelmė II (87 MW) wind farms, while in Latvia, work progresses on the Austrumi and Dzērvesi solar power plants (17 MW).
