Floating Power Plant (FPP), a Danish renewable energy technology developer, has expanded its End User Advisory Board with the addition of three new members: Repsol (Spain), ESB (Ireland), and an undisclosed oil and gas sector company. This expansion supports FPP’s demonstrator project, P-Demo.
Also known as the Seaworthy initiative, P-Demo aims to deploy a floating wind platform off the coast of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. The platform will integrate floating wind and wave energy technologies with onboard hydrogen production and storage, providing renewable energy on demand for grid use.
The new members join an advisory board that already includes Air Liquide, Capital Energy, Island Innovation, TechnipFMC, and three confidential members from the energy and project development sectors. The board’s role is to offer expert insights, practical use cases, and critical requirements to guide the success of the Seaworthy project.
