Global Wind Organisation (GWO) selects Kristy Abel, Director of Environmental, Health and Safety for Avangrid Renewables, as vice chair of the North America committee. Abel joined the GWO North America committee team in 2019.
Prior to joining Avangrid Renewables, Abel was Manager, Regional Operations for New York State Electric & Gas and Safety Compliance for Rochester Gas & Electric. She has a bachelor of science degree in marketing from State University of New York College, Oswego: a master of science in environmental, health and safety management from Rochester Institute of Technology: a master of business administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain; and a master of business administration from Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow, Scotland.
