Hansen Drives Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hansen Transmissions International nv, recently inaugurated its ‘Service Wind’ facility to service wind turbine gearboxes.
An ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 certified facility has been set up in the plant which is manufacturing wind turbine gearboxes in Coimbatore. The service set up can handle up to 3MW gearboxes. Currently gearboxes made by the parent company Hansen Transmissions and gearboxes made by Hansen Drives will be serviced both ‘on-site’ and ‘off-site’ in India.
