HEA Energy has acquired the jack-up vessels Thor and Wind Lift 1 from Semco Maritime. The companies have also agreed a long-term charter arrangement that will keep the vessels available to Semco Maritime for component exchange and component overhaul work in the European offshore wind market.
The work will be supported by Semco Maritime’s overhaul facility in Emden, Germany. The facility has a 450-tonne gantry crane and direct access to the North Sea and is used for the refurbishment, overhaul and logistics of wind turbine components.
