Iberdrola reached an installed capacity in wind energy of 22,676 MW at the end of the year, reflecting a 6% increase compared to 2022. The company has 20,883 MW in onshore wind power, with an addition of 655 new MW. In 2023, Iberdrola connected a new offshore wind farm in France (Saint-Brieuc) to the grid, and this year will commence operations of another off the coast of Massachusetts (Vineyard Wind), USA. The growth in offshore wind is compensating for the lower production of onshore wind in countries such as the United Kingdom, where offshore wind, after growing by 13% in the year, now accounts for 50% of total production.
