LS GreenLink USA will invest $681 million to build a 750,000-square-foot high-voltage direct current submarine cable manufacturing facility to serve the global offshore wind industry on approximately 100 acres of brownfield in the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, USA.
The new facility will create over 330 full-time jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025, and the subsea cable factory is expected to be completed in 2027.
