NKT has announced it will expand its current accessories production site in Alingsås, Sweden. The expansions will include a new test hall designed for testing power cable accessories up to 525 kV, an office building to house the increasing number of employees, and additional capacity within the existing production.
NKT has received the permit required to start building the new facilities. The investment in the new buildings in Alingsås amounts to EUR 14 million, and the buildings are expected to be completed during the first half of 2025. The new buildings that house test facilities and offices will add 2,500 square metres to the current approx. 10,700 square metres of NKT buildings in Alingsås.
