The Nordex Group plans to produce its own rotor blades in Mexico. To this end, the company will set up a production facility in Matamoros, in the state of Tamaulipas. Moving forward, rotor blades totalling more than 1GW capacity per year will be produced there for both the local and global markets.

Production will be equally extended to rotor blades for the large turbines of both the AW and the Delta4000 platforms, and is scheduled to start in spring 2019. The production hall is currently being equipped withproduction mould and at full capacity, the plant will create around 900 direct and indirect local jobs.
