fos4X has shipped the first fiber optic load measurement system (Turbine Load Control - TLC) to its new Chinese customer Shanghai Electric Wind Power. fos4X Turbine Load Control will be one of the key parts of the active load control system to support Shanghai Electric‘s offshore and “back to north China strategy.
Shanghai Electric is also initiating a project to evaluate fos4X rotor blade vibration sensors for blade health monitoring and rotor ice detection. Shanghai Electric Wind Power was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of the Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group. Over the past three years, Shanghai Electric Wind Power has been active at the Chinese offshore wind market as a licensed manufacturer of Siemens 4 MW and 6 MW turbines.
