OEG has become an approved Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) training provider through an agreement with the Energy Institute (EI). The company will deliver the training at its dedicated facility in Bootle, Merseyside, UK.
The OEG Training Centre now offers more than 40 accredited courses covering rope access, emergency response and renewable energy sector skills. The centre has trained more than 1,500 people this year.
The WTSR course provides learners with the knowledge and practical understanding required to work safely on or around wind turbine systems. It covers safe working systems, roles and responsibilities within turbine safety frameworks, documentation and control measures, hazard identification, risk mitigation and communication between responsible parties.
The Energy Institute is a global professional body for the energy sector that provides guidance, training and qualifications. It is also responsible for the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
