SSE Renewables has appointed Heather Donald as Director of Onshore Wind, Solar, Battery (GB & Ireland), where she will oversee the company’s operations and growth in these technologies across its home markets.
Her new role includes managing a 2GW operational portfolio and a secured pipeline of around 4GW. Previously, Heather led the development and construction of SSE Renewables’ onshore wind pipeline in Great Britain and Ireland and was responsible for project consenting, including for offshore wind projects.
Robert Bryce has been appointed Director of Hydro, taking charge of SSE Renewables’ hydro fleet in Scotland and overseeing growth projects, including developments at Coire Glas and Loch Fearna. Robert joined SSE Renewables in 2022 after 11 years at Siemens Gamesa and has led the Offshore Wind Asset Management team for the past two years.
