The Turkish government has awarded 850MW of wind power capacity in the latest round of the country’s Renewable Energy Resources Zone (YEKA) tender programme.
 
In total, 20 projects were awarded. The lowest bid in the tender was made by Eksim Enerji, which offered TRY 0.408 (€ 0.022) per kWh for a 70MW wind project in the provinces of Karaman and Mersin. Eksim Enerji also offered the highest bid: TRY 0.778/kWh for a 30MW project in the provinces of Siirt, Sirnak, and Hakkari. In total, the company won six projects with a total capacity of 260MW. Six other projects with a total capacity of 260MW were won by subsidiaries of Kalyon Holding. Ronesans Holding’s Asiyan Enerji has been awarded three projects totalling 170MW.
