The German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has announced that no bids were submitted in the August 2025 auction for the centrally pre-surveyed offshore wind areas N-10.1 and N-10.2. These areas have auction volumes of 2,000 MW and 500 MW respectively, with planned commissioning dates in the third quarter of 2031 and the fourth quarter of 2030.
The auction followed a sealed bidding process based on quantitative and qualitative criteria but did not offer support under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). BNetzA stated that both areas will be re-auctioned on 1 June 2026 under the rules that apply to non-centrally pre-surveyed sites.
