The US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced additional funding through its Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grants Programme to modernise energy infrastructure, reduce electricity costs and strengthen the power grid.
The programme will provide approximately $967 million to support locally led projects across states, territories and tribal communities. The projects will focus on upgrading critical infrastructure, preventing power disruptions, improving system performance and meeting growing electricity demand.
