The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Project Management Jülich (PtJ) have appointed GL Garrad Hassan's WINDTEST Kaiser Wilhelm Koog GmbH to manage the offshore wind research platform in the Baltic Sea, FINO 2.

BorWin2, a consortium of Siemens Energy and Prysmian Powerlink, has received an order worth more than € 500 million from the German transmission grid company transpower. The consortium will connect the Veja Mate and Global Tech 1 offshore wind farms to the grid on behalf of transpower.
