The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has approved the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) documents for a deep-water floating offshore wind platform developed by Eco TLP and Mocean Offshore.
The design supports large wind turbines and features slip-formed cylindrical concrete hulls with multiple anchor options. Its hybrid spar tension-leg mooring system reduces the platform’s footprint compared to traditional floaters using catenary mooring. ABS conducted design reviews in line with classification and offshore standards.
Mocean Offshore and Arup International Projects are providing marine, civil, and structural engineering support to Eco TLP. With FEED approval secured, the design moves towards commercialisation for site-specific projects.
