The sale will be conducted through an online auction via Escrapalia, the auction platform of Surus. The wind turbines, from Vestas' EnVentus platform, were intended for use in La Guajira, one of Colombia’s most promising wind energy regions, but regulatory obstacles have prevented their deployment.

The equipment is currently stored at the Puerto Brisa facilities and in Cartagena.

Wind turbine components for sale:

  • 90 nacelles
  • 90 hubs
  • 90 powertrains
  • 450 tower sections (90 towers, each divided into five sections)
  • 270 blades (79 metres each)
  • Cooling units and other assembly components

All turbines have been maintained by Vestas and audited by an independent certified company.

EDPR will also sell auxiliary materials for wind farm assembly, stored in Puerto Brisa and Uribia (La Guajira). These include:

  • WEG transformers (500/34.5 kV - 72/96/120 MVA, 500/34.5 kV - 96/128/160 MVA)

  • Medium and high voltage cabling, bare copper, and fibre optic cables
  • Splices and terminals
