EDPR is auctioning 90 Vestas V162-5.6 MW wind turbines originally acquired for projects in La Guajira, Colombia. The sale will be conducted through an online auction via Escrapalia, the auction platform of Surus. The wind turbines, from Vestas' EnVentus platform, were intended for use in La Guajira, one of Colombia’s most promising wind energy regions, but regulatory obstacles have prevented their deployment.
The equipment is currently stored at the Puerto Brisa facilities and in Cartagena.
Wind turbine components for sale:
- 90 nacelles
- 90 hubs
- 90 powertrains
- 450 tower sections (90 towers, each divided into five sections)
- 270 blades (79 metres each)
- Cooling units and other assembly components
All turbines have been maintained by Vestas and audited by an independent certified company.
