Equinor and Wergeland sign an agreement for floating wind foundations

Equinor has entered into a long-term partnership agreement with Wergeland Group, naming them as the preferred supplier for the fabrication of floating offshore wind turbine foundations.

 

The next project that both firms will cooperate on is Utsira North, developed by Equinor and Vårgrønn. The plan is to use a concrete floater based on a spar-type design. The agreement has an initial duration of five years, with the option to extend.
