OEG has installed its 500th proprietary in-turbine welfare unit in the UK offshore wind sector. The company developed the facility to improve working conditions offshore by providing safe, self-sufficient amenities within turbine towers.
The units are deployed across nine UK offshore wind sites and operate fully off-grid without external power or water connections. Maintenance is carried out through an OEG servicing framework for cassette cleaning. The welfare units are available in flatpack and fully built versions. The flatpack option is assembled and integrated offshore on operational sites, while the fully built version is typically used during pre-assembly phases for deployment before installation.
